Asia's 50 Best Bars 2026: Bar Leone Repeats as Hong Kong's Best at No.3
The Asia's 50 Best Bars 2026 ceremony unfolded in spectacular fashion at Wynn Palace Macau on July 28, with Hong Kong's beloved Bar Leone once again claiming the city's top spot at No.3. Six other Hong Kong bars also made the prestigious list: Gokan (No.22), Coa (No.24), Mius (No.36), Argo (No.37), Montana (No.47), and Penicillin (No.49).
Local favourite Kin Min Hong earned the Siete Misterios Best Cocktail Menu Award for its inventive use of local ingredients and Chinese spirits in its cocktail programme.
China's Hope & Sesame from Guangzhou claimed the coveted No.1 spot for the first time, while Seoul's Zest took second place.

Mius: Hong Kong's Big Winner
Making its debut on the Asia's 50 Best Bars list at No.36, Mius emerged as one of the night's biggest stories — also taking home the Seven Room Best Bar Design Award. Founder Shelley Tai was named the 2026 Altos Bartenders' Bartender, the only peer-voted award on the list, chosen exclusively by bartenders from this year's ranked establishments.
"I am incredibly honoured to receive this recognition, especially from a community of seasoned bartenders whom I deeply admire," said Tai, whose journey began at age 20 when she admitted she "just needed a job and bartending looked fun and cool." She honed her craft at renowned venues like FINDS and Quinary, winning the Diageo World Class Hong Kong & Macau title in 2019.
"I'm also immensely grateful to the Mius team who stand beside me every day — their support, talent and dedication made this moment possible," Tai added. Located in Sheung Wan, Mius is a neighbourhood cocktail bar built on the philosophy of "doing simple things exceptionally well," featuring reimagined classics, refined signature serves, and a carefully curated grower Champagne selection.
Hong Kong in the 51-100 List
Ahead of the ceremony, the 51-100 list was revealed on July 14, featuring bars from 25 destinations across Asia. Three Hong Kong venues made the extended list: The Opposites (No.54), The Savory Project (No.52), and Tell Camellia (No.81).
The rankings are determined by the Asia's 50 Best Bars Academy, comprising over 300 bartenders, bar owners, drinks writers, and cocktail experts from across the region, with Deloitte serving as the official independent adjudication partner.
