Phu Quoc Tourism Heats Up: SPA Airways Boosts Taipei-Phu Quoc to 5 Weekly Flights

As Vietnam's Phu Quoc continues its rise as one of Asia's hottest resort destinations, demand from the Taiwan market is steadily climbing. Sun PhuQuoc Airways (SPA) — named after the island itself — has announced that, responding to growing market demand, its Taipei–Phu Quoc route will increase to five weekly flights from August 2 through October 1, 2026, with further frequency increases planned as demand warrants, offering travellers greater flexibility heading into the peak travel season.

Unlike most airlines named after countries or cities, SPA has made the destination its brand identity. "We want SPA to be the first touchpoint for travellers discovering this island," the airline stated. "Every flight becomes part of the journey, building a connection with Phu Quoc from the moment you take off."
