City introduction

Hanoi

Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam, located in the northern part of the country, in the northwest of the Red River Delta, on the right bank of the Red River and at the confluence of the Red River and the Day River, named for its location between the Red River and the To Lich River. Hanoi is the industrial and cultural centre of Vietnam, as well as an ancient capital in Vietnamese history, with a history of over 1,000 years. Since the 11th century, it has been the political, economic and cultural centre of northern Vietnam, with a wealth of historical relics and scenic spots scattered throughout the city. Hoan Kiem Lake, St. Joseph's Cathedral, the Old Quarter (36 Streets), and Train Street offer a taste of old town vibes and French colonial charm. A day trip to Ha Long Bay, or cycling in Ninh Binh, known as 'Ha Long Bay on land', enriches the natural landscape experience.
