Hanoi has piloted about 60 public e-bikes at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, letting visitors explore the sprawling cultural complex on two wheels. It's part of the city's TNGo network, which now spans 146 stations and roughly 1,800 bikes.

The pilot
Hanoi's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has approved a pilot to provide e-bike service for visitors at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism. Đỗ Bá Quân, chairman of Trí Nam Digital Transport JSC — the operator of the TNGo public bike network — said about 60 e-bikes have been deployed to the village.
If the model works well after the trial period, the operator will propose adding more vehicles to better meet visitor demand.
TNGo by the numbers
Launched: August 24, 2023
Initial rollout: 79 stations, 1,000 vehicles (mechanical + e-bikes) in inner-city areas
Today: 146 stations, ~1,800 vehicles citywide
The e-bike rollout at the village is expected to give visitors a convenient new way to get around, while helping evaluate the model for use at other tourist and sightseeing areas. It's also a step toward making public bikes a green transport option aligned with Hanoi's sustainable transport goals.
