Ariccia Porchetta Festival 2026: 73rd edition, September 4-6 near Rome
Last year the festival was cancelled due to construction works in Piazza di Corte, the square that has always hosted the event, but this year the Ariccia IGP Porchetta Festival is back for its 73rd edition.

From September 4 to 6, in the historic centre of Ariccia, the event promoted by the Ariccia IGP Producers' Consortium with the patronage of the Municipality of Ariccia will bring the porchetta tradition to the heart of the town for three days, along with culture, shows, music and entertainment.
“The Ariccia Porchetta Festival is not just a great popular celebration, but an important tool for promoting our territory and its identity,” said Gianluca Staccoli, Mayor of Ariccia. “The 73rd edition was born from the collaboration between the Municipality, the Producers' Consortium and the historic fraschette taverns, and aims to showcase not only the Ariccia IGP Porchetta but the entire supply chain and the cultural, historical and tourist heritage of our town. Ariccia has all the makings of a true international showcase for the food and wine and hospitality of the Castelli Romani.”
“The Ariccia Porchetta Festival is not only a great popular celebration, but a true cultural and economic manifesto supporting the entire artisanal production chain,” added Roberto Azzocchi, president of the Ariccia IGP Producers' Consortium. “The 73rd edition combines the authenticity of our roots with a vision that looks to the future, enhancing the indissoluble bond between Ariccia IGP Porchetta, the network of fraschette and the historic and artistic heritage of our town.”
The Porchetta of Ariccia
The theme of the 73rd edition is “Ariccia Porchetta: tradition, territory and supply chain”, a journey dedicated to the historical and cultural value of porchetta and the artisanal knowledge handed down from generation to generation.
Alongside the official stalls of the Consortium producers, where visitors can taste freshly sliced Ariccia IGP Porchetta, the famous historic fraschette taverns will star in the hospitality, with dedicated menus, traditional dishes, pairings with Castelli Romani wines and a festive atmosphere spread across the historic centre.
The programme opens on Friday September 4 at 5 pm in the prestigious setting of Palazzo Chigi with the institutional conference “Ariccia Porchetta: tradition, territory and supply chain”, dedicated to protecting the supply chain, promoting the IGP brand and developing food and wine tourism.
The event also looks to sustainability and community participation, promoting eco-friendly materials, reduced plastic use and separate waste collection during the festival days, with the goal of encouraging conscious and responsible consumption.
