Eighteen days of gastronomy, music, comedy and agricultural tradition. From 3 to 20 September 2026, Velletri's Teatro del Fieno will once again become the beating heart of one of the Lazio region's most eagerly awaited events: the Porcini Mushroom Festival and Agriculture Fair, organised by the Lariano Porcini Mushroom Association for its 34th edition, returns — and admission is free.

A local institution that keeps on growing

Thirty-four years is a major milestone, and the Festival proves it every year by reinventing itself without losing its soul. Supported by the Lazio Region through the Arsial agency, the event has long been a point of reference for anyone who loves local food and wine excellence and wants to enjoy an authentic experience immersed in the agricultural traditions of the Castelli Romani.

This year brings a new feature that makes the event even more welcoming: a gluten-free dining option created in collaboration with the Italian Coeliac Association, making the Festival truly inclusive and accessible to everyone.

The star of the show: the porcini mushroom

Naturally, the undisputed king of the table remains the porcini mushroom, at the heart of a gastronomic offering that can be enjoyed every evening from 6pm. On Saturdays and Sundays the stands also open at lunchtime, for those who want to treat themselves to a tasty break in the middle of the day.

A line-up not to be missed

Alongside the food, the Festival offers a rich programme of concerts and shows, all with free admission and starting at 9pm. Opening the event on 3 September will be Serena Brancale, one of the most admired voices on the contemporary Italian music scene — a high-calibre start that immediately sets the tone for the opening night.

The line-up continues with a skilful mix of music and comedy. On 9 September, I Cugini di Campagna take to the stage with a repertoire spanning more than fifty years of Italian music, while on 10 September Andrea Perroni will make the Velletri audience laugh. On 14 September it's the turn of Uccio De Santis, one of the best-known names in Italian comedy.

On 16 September, Gemelli Diversi — an emblematic group of the Italian pop and hip-hop scene — arrive in Velletri. Closing the 34th edition on 20 September are LDA and AKA 7EVEN with their Summer Tour 2026: a finale aimed especially at younger audiences.

The Festival also pays tribute to the greats of Italian song: Rino Gaetano, Pino Daniele, Nomadi, 883, Lucio Dalla and Annalisa will all be celebrated by quality tribute bands on their dedicated evenings.
