Global Hit "Flower Shop" Makes Taiwan Debut: 7 Taiwan-Exclusive Furry Blooms Unveiled in Taipei
The global art sensation "Flower Shop" has made its Taiwan debut! Created by Australian contemporary artist Cj Hendry, "Flower Shop TAIPEI" has landed on the G floor of Breeze Center and runs until October 31. Featuring over a hundred varieties of furry flowers, the exhibition also introduces seven limited-edition blooms inspired by Taiwanese landscapes and everyday culture.

"Flower Shop" originated from Cj Hendry's "Flower Market" launched in New York in 2024, an immersive art flower market built from plush flowers that later evolved into "Flower Shop," touring New York, Melbourne, Brisbane and Hong Kong. Taipei marks the fifth stop on its world tour, combining flower retail with collecting so visitors can pick and arrange their favorite blooms on the spot.

A key highlight of "Flower Shop TAIPEI" is the seven Taiwan-exclusive flowers Cj Hendry created, drawing inspiration from natural scenery to daily life — including the calla lilies iconic to Yangmingshan, romantic roses, auspicious peonies, free-spirited poppies, and desert roses reflecting southern flair.
There is also the crown-shaped crown flower and the "scallion hydrangea" inspired by the everyday cooking ingredient scallion, reinterpreting familiar Taiwanese imagery through plush materials — all seven debuting for the first time at the Taipei stop.

Cj Hendry grew up in Brisbane, Australia and now lives in New York. She first rose to fame with hyper-realistic drawings and has amassed over a million social media followers, with celebrities such as Pharrell Williams and Vera Wang among her collectors. Her 2024 "Flower Market" sparked a collecting craze online, turning "Flower Shop" into a new form of her art project.
