KA COFFEE LOUNGE Opens at Breeze Xin Yi with Estate Pour-Over Coffee
The team behind Taipei's sky-high "KA SKY COFFEE" in Xinyi District has opened a brand-new "KA COFFEE LOUNGE" on the 3rd floor of Breeze Xin Yi department store, spotlighting estate-grade pour-over coffee and artisan afternoon tea as a relaxing salon for shoppers and cafe-hoppers.

Space Design
Unlike the all-white open layout of KA SKY COFFEE, the lounge interweaves black, grey and white for a coffee-lounge feel. Silver-grey metal curtains divide the space into a semi-transparent, intimate layout, paired with ambient lighting to create a minimalist, sensory aesthetic.

Coffee & Drinks
KA COFFEE sources estate-level single-origin beans from around the world, carefully showcasing each region's flavour profile through pour-over, with a limited hidden-bean menu. Beyond pour-over, it offers americano, latte and more — from oat, berry, coconut and citrus to honey-cinnamon, almond and chocolate. Lattes and cream-cap drinks use Japan's Yotsuba premium fresh milk.

Desserts & Light Bites
Afternoon tea highlights include lactose-free, gluten-free ice cream (roasted pistachio, coconut, black sesame) and Hibiki whisky tiramisu. Basque cakes come in Wandang red bean, Hakka lei cha and black sesame; pound cakes in matcha, apple black tea and orange-lemon; and dacquoise in triple pistachio, strawberry and blueberry mochi. Savoury bites include French tartines with fig burrata ham, truffle chorizo olive cheese, beef ham cheese egg salad and shrimp avocado salsa, plus wild-yeast bagels with mustard-seed loin, kumquat spicy cheese jalapeño, squid-ink olive and caramel lychee walnut.

Bonus News
Danish specialty coffee brand "La Cabra" is also rumoured to be entering Taiwan, having posted job openings as it prepares for its first permanent location. Founded in 2012, La Cabra ranked No. 33 on the World's 100 Best Coffee Shops list and was named one of the world's top roasters in 2024.
