Cats the Musical World Tour Roars Into Hong Kong — Now Playing at Xiqu Centre Through September
Andrew Lloyd Webber's iconic musical Cats has made its triumphant return to Hong Kong this summer, running from August 6 through September 13, 2026 at the Xiqu Centre Grand Theatre in the West Kowloon Cultural District. Performances take place Tuesday through Sunday.
Based on T.S. Eliot's whimsical poetry collection Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, this theatrical masterpiece has captivated audiences worldwide since its 1981 London premiere, touring over 30 countries and translated into 15 languages. The story follows the Jellicle tribe of cats as they gather for the annual Jellicle Ball, each sharing their unique life stories in hopes of being chosen by their wise elder for rebirth into a new life.
Featuring Lloyd Webber's magnificent score — including the show-stopping classic 'Memory' — paired with breathtaking set design, dazzling choreography and spectacular costumes, this is a once-in-a-lifetime theatrical extravaganza not to be missed.
