Kyushu's Famous Tempura Restaurant 'Hakata Tempura Yamaya' Is Coming to Hong Kong!
Renowned Kyushu tempura specialist Hakata Tempura Yamaya is set to make its Hong Kong debut at the brand-new Island One Centre in Causeway Bay, with a grand opening expected in Q4 2026. The restaurant champions a 'fry-to-order' dining concept, where guests sit at the counter and watch chefs expertly fry each piece of tempura moments before it lands on their plate — ensuring every bite arrives at peak crispiness.
The batter is meticulously crafted to be light and airy, cutting through any excess oiliness so the natural flavours of each ingredient shine. Diners can customise their experience with the house-made 'umami dashi' dipping sauce, sea salt, and other condiments for layered savoury notes.
