It's a chance to experience the city through flavours, entertainment and tradition, with national and international guests and concerts accompanying the public for ten days of celebration.

Ten days of events in Rieti

From 28 August to 6 September 2026, the Fiera Mondiale Campionaria del Peperoncino returns to Rieti, one of the most eagerly awaited events in central Italy. Buoyed by more than 300,000 visitors at the last edition, the festival will bring the city's historic centre to life with a packed calendar for visitors of all ages. For ten days, Rieti's streets and squares will host events blending gastronomy, culture, entertainment and tradition.

200 stands and 800 varieties from around the world

One of the fair's most distinctive features is the display of around 800 chilli pepper varieties from every continent. Around this exhibition unfolds a route of about 200 stands, where visitors can sample local specialities, watch cooking shows, join tastings and discover the area's finest produce. The programme also includes conferences, in-depth talks, exhibitions and dedicated art spaces.

Confirming its international outlook

Organised by the "Rieti Cuore Piccante" association in collaboration with the National Chilli Pepper Academy (Accademia Nazionale del Peperoncino) and with the support of the Ministry of Tourism, the fair keeps growing on the international stage.

After extending to ten days in 2025, the event again welcomes official delegations from Angola, Mexico, Honduras, Ivory Coast and Algeria.

The concert programme

Radio 105 and Radio Subasio return as official partners, bringing shows, entertainment and the voices of the two national broadcasters to the stage in Piazza Mazzini.

Over the ten days, some of the leading names on the Italian music scene will take turns on stage, including Baby K, Eddie Brock, LDA and Aka 7even, Benji e Fede, Michele Bravi, Ludwig, Samurai Jay and Rocco Hunt, along with the "105 Disco Mania" and "105 Anni '90" nights.

The fair takes place in the historic centre of Rieti from 28 August to 6 September 2026. Entry is completely free, both for the exhibition area and market and for the concerts and shows on the programme.
