Kowloon Bay MegaBox Sky Garden: Meet the 10-Metre Giant Corgi
Looking for a free city retreat with photo-worthy spots? The Mega Sky rooftop garden on the 18th floor of MegaBox in Kowloon Bay spans over 30,000 sq ft and has teamed up with local art platform Art Dreamers for a community art project featuring a 10-metre giant inflatable corgi named "Mochi", plus a nightly pet-themed light show. Entry is free, open now until October 4, 2026.
270-Degree Panoramic Views & Local Artist Collaboration
The Mega Sky garden features floor-to-ceiling glass with a 270-degree unobstructed panorama of East Kowloon and Victoria Harbour. The "Mega Art Space" project — Hong Kong's first to combine giant dog murals with 3D installations — invited veteran artist Lee Hok-fung to create large cat-and-dog murals, including a 5-metre live-painted piece fitted with a 3D inflatable tail that "bursts out" of the frame.
The 10-Metre Giant Corgi "Mochi"
The highlight is a 10-metre-wide giant inflatable corgi named "Mochi" with remarkably lifelike fur texture, sitting in the centre of the garden. At sunset, Mochi is framed against the evening glow and Victoria Harbour — a must-see for dog lovers.
Nightly Pet-Themed Light Show
After dark, an outdoor pet-themed light show transforms the garden, with cats and dogs appearing as giant light forms synced to music against the glittering harbour skyline.
