▼If we happen to be unlucky and the day is not suitable for cycling due to heavy rain, the itinerary will be changed to a sightseeing cruise around Lake Yamanaka on a white swan‑shaped boatApproximately 60 minutes, sightseeing cruise fee included

Lake Yamanaka Sightseeing Cruise "Hakucho‑go (Swan Lake)"

The route takes about 25 minutes to circle the lake, allowing you to leisurely enjoy the pleasant scenery of Lake Yamanaka and the beautiful views of Mt. Fuji.

True to its concept of "Japan's most beautiful swan floating on Lake Yamanaka at the foot of Japan's finest Mt. Fuji," the entire boat is designed in the elegant shape of a swan. It has won numerous awards and was designed by renowned Japanese designer Ryoichi Mizutani. The graceful swan gliding across the lake is both elegant and adorable.

The interior of the boat is crafted from oak, utilising its natural wood grain texture. The warm feeling evoked by the soft, curved design creates a relaxing and comfortable space.

To ensure children enjoy their time on board, the Hakucho‑go features child‑specific seats, as well as a telescope and a viewing seat with a steering wheel for a captain experience. Thoughtful designs can be found throughout the boat, which is one of its distinctive features.

While enjoying the beautiful nature from the Lake Yamanaka cruise, don't miss the precious experience of getting up close to wild swans (feed can be purchased self‑service at the boarding area for 100 yen per bag). The feed can be given to the fish near the shore at the boarding point, or to wild ducklings and swans~

▼Oshino Hakkai ‑ Mysterious spring ponds formed by melted snow from Mt. Fuji seeping into the ground(Approximately 40 minutes, free time

One of the component assets of the World Heritage Site "Mt. Fuji", also designated as a Japanese National Natural Monument and selected as one of the 100 Best Waters of Japan.

Oshino Hakkai is located at the foot of Mt. Fuji. "Hakkai" refers to the collective name for eight spring ponds, all fed by the snow and rainwater of Mt. Fuji. These eight spring ponds, formed over dried‑up lake beds, are named "Deguchi‑ike", "Okama‑ike", "Sokotsu‑ike", "Choshi‑ike", "Waku‑ike", "Nigo‑ike", "Kagami‑ike" and "Shobu‑ike".

As the source of Oshino Hakkai's water is the melted snow of Mt. Fuji filtering through underground lava layers over more than 20 years, the clarity of the pond water is exceptionally high. The various natural scenes combining Mt. Fuji and the shimmering pond waters are breathtakingly beautiful, attracting many visitors year after year.

②Fuji Hakkei ‑ Kanjin Torii Gate ‑ The entrance to the "sacred realm" steeped in Mt. Fuji faith

Standing in front of the torii gate, you can take in the beautiful views of Mt. Fuji. The Kanjin Torii is a traditional Shinto shrine gate that separates the secular world outside from the sacred domain centred on the summit of Mt. Fuji. Followers of "Fujiko" (the most famous organisation dedicated to Mt. Fuji worship) travelling from Edo on their pilgrimage to the summit would pass through eight torii gates, with Kanjin Torii being the first, earning it the name "First Torii". The original Kanjin Torii was built in 1788 by Fujiko followers. As it was constructed with wooden pillars wrapped in copper sheets, it was also known in ancient times as the "Karado Torii". Karado refers to metal produced using smelting techniques introduced to Japan from China's Tang Dynasty, i.e., bronze. Over time, "Karado Torii" was mispronounced and became today's Kanjin Torii.
