▼Kawaguchiko Matcha Experience (approx. 60 minutes)

Lake Kawaguchiko is one of the Fuji Five Lakes and has the longest shoreline of all the lakes. Spring cherry blossoms, summer tulips, and autumn foliage create different scenic views throughout the seasons. It is part of the Fuji‑Hakone‑Izu National Park. Among the Fuji Five Lakes, it has the longest shoreline and the lowest elevation. You can take a leisurely stroll along the lakeshore and enjoy the magnificent views of Mt. Fuji. We have added a matcha experience where you can learn to make matcha with a local instructor and savour a cup, experiencing authentic Japanese culture.

The highest realm of the tea ceremony, Ichi‑go Ichi‑e (one time, one meeting), is a term that originated from the Japanese tea ceremony. In the tea ceremony, it refers to the tea master treating every guest who comes to enjoy tea with the mindset of "cherishing this rare encounter" and offering sincere hospitality. In one's lifetime, one may only meet another person once, so one should treat them in the best possible way. After the matcha experience, we suggest stepping out of the matcha shop and heading to the lakeshore of Lake Kawaguchiko to take photos of the stunning Mt. Fuji.

▼Lake Kawaguchiko Panoramic Kachikachi Mountain Ropeway (approx. 90 minutes in total, ropeway fare included)

Lake Kawaguchiko is 830 metres above sea level, covers an area of 5.7 square kilometres, and has a winding shoreline with numerous excellent viewpoints for overlooking Mt. Fuji. Here, you can capture the reflection of Mt. Fuji in the lake water, creating a breathtaking and magnificent scene.

Ride the Panoramic Ropeway at Lake Kawaguchiko

Take the Kachikachi Mountain Ropeway at Lake Kawaguchiko and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. From the observation deck at an elevation of 1,075 metres, you can enjoy the best panoramic views of Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko. On clear days, you can even see the Southern Alps. At the summit, there is a bell platform called the "Bell of Heaven" — it is said that if you ring it, your wishes will come true. The Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway at Lake Kawaguchiko is the setting of Osamu Dazai's famous work "Kachikachi Yama". Inspired by Dazai's story, the ropeway gondolas and observation deck are decorated with tanuki (raccoon dog) and rabbit dolls — everyone is welcome to take photos. The ropeway from the base to the top of Mt. Kachikachi reaches the observation deck at 1,075 metres in about 3 minutes, where you can enjoy a 360‑degree panoramic view of Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko. On clear days, you can also see the Southern Alps in the distance (such as Mt. Akaishi and Mt. Arakawa).

Tenkigou Sengoku Warlord Atmosphere Boat

The Atake‑bune (armoured ship), which belonged to the "naval force" of the Kai Takeda army during the Sengoku period, is a purely Japanese‑themed sightseeing boat. Its design uses the "Takeda‑hishi" (diamond shape) and the colour red — synonymous with the Takeda army — to showcase its magnificent and courageous spirit. On clear days, you can enjoy 360‑degree views of the majestic beauty of Mt. Fuji. The spacious boat features a 50‑inch large display, allowing you to learn about the beautiful Mt. Fuji in all four seasons as well as the history and tourist information of the surrounding areas, even on rainy days.
