▼Trendy Photo Spot — Arakurayama Sengen Park: An Excellent Location to View the Panoramic View of Mt. Fuji (Approx. 1 hour)

(This is the itinerary from 1 October to 25 April, visiting Arakurayama Sengen Park instead of Mt. Fuji 5th Station)

This newly popular scenic spot is known as one of the "21 places photographers must visit before they die." It is an excellent location to view the panoramic view of Mt. Fuji. After climbing the 397 steps near the main hall, the five‑storied pagoda "Chureito Pagoda" comes into view. You can capture the "five‑storied pagoda & Mt. Fuji & townscape below" all in one shot. Photographers and tourists from all over the world flock here to admire this scenery. Not only the cherry blossoms in spring, but also the fresh greenery in summer, autumn leaves in autumn, and snowscapes in winter are all spectacular. In addition to enjoying the superb view of Mt. Fuji, you can also overlook the charming streetscape of Fujiyoshida City.新仓山浅间公园四季.jpg

▼Mt. Fuji 5th Station (Approx. 40 minutes)

(This is the itinerary from 26 April to 30 September, visiting Mt. Fuji 5th Station instead of Arakurayama Sengen Park)

View Mt. Fuji from a closer distance! Mt. Fuji 5th Station

[5th Station] (Mt. Fuji 5th Station is located halfway up Mt. Fuji, at an altitude of 2,305 metres. This highest mountain in Japan offers different views from afar and up close. Looking up at the summit from the closest distance, you can feel its majestic beauty. On clear, cloudless days, looking down, the surrounding scenery and Lake Kawaguchi can be seen at a glance. When shrouded in clouds and mist, you can overlook the magnificent sea of clouds.

▼Lake Kawaguchi Oishi Park (21/11‑12/4, 27/5‑25/10, 60 minutes at this spot)

Every spring, this is the classic spot for photos of Mt. Fuji with cherry blossoms

河口湖公园-樱花.jpg

Every summer, the lavender in Oishi Park on the shores of Lake Kawaguchi blooms in full glory, as if draping the park in a purple carpet, reflecting beautifully with the view of Mt. Fuji. This is also the venue for the Lake Kawaguchi Herb Festival. (Lavender: late June to mid‑July)河口湖公园-薰衣草.jpg

▼Lake Motosu Fuji Shibazakura Festival (13 April ‑ 26 May, 60 minutes at this spot)

This is the largest‑scale moss phlox (shibazakura) festival in the capital region, held regularly every year. It features approximately 800,000 moss phlox plants, the largest scale in the capital region of Japan, blooming across the vast plain at the foot of Mt. Fuji, with brilliant colours of stunning beauty — a festival of flowers. Every year from April to late May, over this one‑month period, up to 800,000 moss phlox plants gradually bloom along the shores of Lake Kawaguchi in Yamanashi Prefecture, resembling a "rainbow on the ground." The vibrant moss phlox, blue sky, and white snow on the summit of Mt. Fuji create a spectacular view that is truly captivating. A food festival is also held at the same time.

▼Lake Kawaguchi Momiji Corridor (26/10‑20/11, 60 minutes at this spot)

The sight of snow‑capped Mt. Fuji contrasting with fiery red autumn leaves is a scenery you should not miss. This rare annual event awaits your participation and visit. The shores of Lake Kawaguchi are adorned with colourful red maples, and the magnificent autumn scenery is truly enchanting.

▼Lake Yamanaka — Take a Swan‑shaped Sightseeing Boat to Cruise around Lake Yamanaka or Enjoy the Lake Yamanaka Hot Spring (Approx. 70 minutes; boat or hot spring fees to be paid on your own)

Lake Yamanaka is the only lake among the Fuji Five Lakes with a natural river flowing out, and it is also the largest in area yet shallowest in depth (only 13.3 metres). Mt. Fuji as seen from Lake Yamanaka, with its long ridges stretching left and right, looks exceptionally charming. Swans are called "hakucho" in Japanese. Every year from February to April, despite the severe cold, swans fly here to lay eggs and raise their young. As visitors often feed them, the swans sometimes swim over to get close to visitors. Hence, Lake Yamanaka is also known as the "Lake of Swans." On 22 June 2013, it was registered as part of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site "Mt. Fuji: Object of Worship and Source of Art."

Lake Yamanaka Sightseeing Boat "Hakucho‑Go (Swan Lake)"

The route takes about 25 minutes for one loop, allowing you to leisurely enjoy the pleasant scenery of Lake Yamanaka and the beautiful views of Mt. Fuji.

True to the concept of "Japan's most beautiful swan floating on Lake Yamanaka at the foot of Japan's highest mountain, Mt. Fuji," the entire vessel is designed as a beautiful swan. It has won numerous awards and is the design of renowned Japanese designer Eiji Mitooka. The graceful yet adorable swan gliding across the lake is a delightful sight.

白天鹅游船.jpg

The interior is crafted from oak, making use of the natural wood grain texture. The warm ambience created by the soft, curved design provides a relaxing and comfortable space.

To ensure children enjoy their time on board, the Hakucho‑Go features children's dedicated seats, as well as a telescope and a viewing seat with a steering wheel for a captain experience. These thoughtful designs throughout the ship are among its distinctive features. While enjoying the beautiful nature on the Lake Yamanaka sightseeing boat, don't miss the precious experience of getting close to wild swans (feed can be purchased on site at 100 yen per bag).

If you choose the hot spring option, we provide the same vehicle transfer service; however, other hot spring‑related fees are not included.

Lake Yamanaka Hot Spring Akafuji‑no‑Yu (you can soak in the hot spring while viewing Mt. Fuji). When Akafuji‑no‑Yu is closed every Tuesday, we recommend Fujisan Onsen (Mt. Fuji Hot Spring) instead (views of Mt. Fuji available from the lounge).

Return to central Tokyo. The return time is for reference only; it may be earlier depending on the smooth progress of the day's itinerary and good traffic conditions. (Approx. 1.5 to 2 hours by car). Arrive at Shinjuku West Exit, in front of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation / JR Tokyo Station Marunouchi North Exit, bringing a pleasant end to the day's tour!

红富士之汤温泉.jpg

Guests with the Meeting Point Pick‑up/Drop‑off Package may end the tour directly at Tokyo Station or Shinjuku.

Shinjuku is one of the most famous bustling commercial areas in all of Tokyo. The popular areas are mainly concentrated around Shinjuku Station and extending outwards in all directions, including the Shinjuku‑guchi, West Exit, and South Exit commercial areas. It is a shopper's paradise — department stores, electronics districts, drugstores, trendy fashion shops and more are all available. Odakyu, Keio, Isetan and other department stores are all great choices. Shinjuku is also home to Kabukicho, the most famous red‑light district in Japan, which is packed with countless restaurants, bars, karaoke venues, and adult entertainment establishments, earning it the reputation of "Japan's No.1 pleasure district."

新宿.jpg

Shinjuku Station is one of Tokyo's most important transport hubs, with nearly 4 million passengers daily, making it the busiest railway station in the world by passenger usage. In addition, there are famous attractions such as the cherry blossom viewing spot Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, and Golden Gai.

Tokyo Station is located in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo, at the heart of the Marunouchi business district. It is a complex station with two levels of platforms. The lines currently in use include: Tohoku Shinkansen, Yamagata Shinkansen, Akita Shinkansen, Joetsu Shinkansen, Nagano Shinkansen, Tokaido Line, Chuo Line (Rapid), Sobu Line (Rapid), Yokosuka Line, Keiyo Line, Yamanote Line, Keihin‑Tohoku Line, Narita Express, Tokaido Shinkansen, Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line (station code: M‑17). It is not only the starting point of many railway lines in Japan, but also one of Tokyo's major large‑scale stations. The main building of Tokyo Station, the "Tokyo Station Red Brick Station Building," is one of Japan's Important Cultural Properties. It was renovated in 2012 to its current appearance, fully recreating the original look of the station building from 100 years ago.
