New Yorkers have been paying tribute to Dolly Parton in their own glittering, rhinestone-studded fashion. Following the country icon's passing on Tuesday, August 25 at age 80, the Empire State Building lit up pink, the IFC Center marquee read "IFC Will Always Love You," and one prankster even relabeled Fulton Street station "Dolly Parton Street."
Now the city's nightlife scene is picking up the torch. Whether you want to belt out every word of "Jolene," catch a double bill of Dolly's classic films, or just show up covered in enough sequins to light up the room, here are six delightful ways to celebrate all things Dolly through this weekend and into next week.
Catch a drag tribute at C'mon Everybody
On Saturday, August 29, the Bed-Stuy venue hosts a benefit DJ set supporting Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, the children's literacy nonprofit she founded. Performers include Miss Ma'amShe, Rify Royalty, Anne J Tifah, Bertha Vanayshun and Hanukah Lewinsky. Doors at 6:30pm, tickets from $20.09, 21-plus only.
Go full country diva at Cassette
"Ridgewood Rendezvous Drag Show: Dolly Parton Tribute Night" takes over Cassette in Ridgewood on Saturday from 10pm to 2am. Dress the part — the weekly drag party is urging sequins, rhinestones and your most glamorous country-diva look. (Honestly, a fair ask.)

Cassette keeps the Dolly love going on Monday, August 31 with a Dolly Parton Live Band Tribute Night at 7:30pm. Tickets are $12.03.
