Key Features of MIURA FUN BEACH 2026
① Even comfier stretch tents (paid rest areas). The South Africa-born stretch tents that proved so popular last year return as comfortable paid rest spaces, complete with tatami seating, changing rooms, and showers for a one-stop relaxation experience. (Priority for reservations)
② New "Keikyu sand-play space." A sand-hill zone and sandpit where kids can play, plus a miniature excavator they can actually operate! Individuals or families can use it with a 1,000-yen PASMO payment, or one "Memory Ticket" from the Misaki Maguro Ticket.
③ Special collaboration with the film "Minions & Monsters" (released 7 August). Miura Coast teams up with the movie! Keikyu Electric Railway runs decorated trains, and a photo spot is set up in front of Miura-Kaigan Station. The beach also hosts screenings of past films and sand-sculpture photo spots themed on "Minions & Monsters" for the whole family to enjoy.
④ New boardwalk. A roughly 50-metre wooden boardwalk now runs straight from the gate to the beach! At the end stands a huge, photogenic art installation, letting anyone easily reach the middle of the beach.
⑤ Free life-jacket and water-wheel rentals (an inclusive beach initiative). Life jackets are loaned free of charge for safe water play, and one water wheel for people with disabilities is also available free of charge. Please reserve in advance (first come, first served). Note that no assistance service is provided — companions must assist (1+ for beach-only use, 3+ for entering the waves).
⑥ "Miura Coast Art Festival" held concurrently. Inspired by this year's theme "Wind," unique artworks turn the sea and the whole town into a canvas, freely roaming the Miura Coast area. Alongside coastal installations, workshops and collaborations with galleries in town bring art into everyday life for a brand-new Miura Coast summer.
