Attraction Highlights

1. A Journey Through Time: Historic Architecture Tour

The garden features 17 precious historic buildings meticulously relocated and preserved from Kyoto, Kamakura, and other locations. Among them, 10 are designated as "National Important Cultural Properties." Masterpieces such as the Tōmyō‑ji Main Hall and ancient pagodas blend seamlessly with the natural landscape, offering visitors a scenic stroll that feels like an architectural odyssey through history.

2. A Classic Japanese Garden with Scenic Beauty in All Four Seasons

The garden's design cleverly utilises the natural terrain, incorporating hills, ponds, streams, and bamboo groves, with landscapes that transform throughout the year. In spring, the renowned 500‑metre cherry blossom tunnel and the reflection on the main pond create a breathtaking spectacle; in autumn, the fiery red maple leaves are so stunning that the scenery is often praised as the "Katsura Imperial Villa of Kantō."

3. Immersive Cultural Experience Facilities

Within the garden, the Sankei Memorial Hall regularly rotates exhibitions of artworks and related historical materials collected by the founder, Tomitaro Hara. Visitors can also experience matcha (powdered green tea) at a traditional tea house, or savour the signature "Sankei soba noodles" and Japanese sweets invented by the founder at the garden's tea pavilion, experiencing the culture through taste.

4. Iconic Scenery with Panoramic Hilltop Views

The Rinshunkaku (National Important Cultural Property) located at the hilltop, and the view of the main pond overlooking the three‑storied pagoda of the former Kyūbai‑in, are the most representative sights within the garden. From these elevated vantage points, visitors can take in the historic architecture, tranquil ponds, and seasonal vegetation all at once, making them perfect spots for photography and memorable moments.
