1. teamLab Botanical Garden

teamLab Botanical Garden Osaka is the teamLab group's newest opening and one of its most distinctive in concept — the only teamLab installation placed in the open air. The exhibition is based on teamLab's art project "Digitized Nature," which explores how nature can become art without being harmed. As part of a 2022 renovation of Nagai Park, a new teamLab space was built inside the botanical garden: a beautiful botanical garden by day, transformed into an art space at night.

2. Dotonbori Konamon Museum

Located in Dotonbori, the Dotonbori Konamon Museum (道頓堀こなもんミュージアム) is a food theme park dedicated to "konamon" — flour-based dishes such as takoyaki. In this 4-story building you can try making your own takoyaki, create a plastic food sample to take home as a souvenir, and visit a museum section on the history of konamon. Takoyaki restaurants await on the 1st floor.

3. Cup Noodles Museum Osaka Ikeda

The Cup Noodles Museum Osaka Ikeda (カップヌードルミュージアム大阪池田) is one of only two museums in Japan dedicated to instant ramen. Inside you can see how cup noodles are manufactured, learn the history of instant noodles, and browse a display of instant ramen from around the world that is sure to stimulate your appetite. Original souvenirs are sold only here.

4. Osaka Museum of History

The Osaka Museum of History (大阪歴史博物館) is a city-funded museum that opened in 2001, created to pass on the knowledge and culture of Osaka's history. It houses well over 100,000 exhibits that deepen your understanding of the city. Located right next to Osaka Castle Park, it pairs perfectly with a visit to Osaka Castle.

5. Osaka Museum of Natural History

Opened in 1958, the Osaka Museum of Natural History (大阪市立自然史博物館) sits just south of central Osaka. This 2-story, 7,066 m² museum focuses on the history of humanity and its surrounding nature, with five laboratories covering zoology, entomology, botany, geology and quaternary research.

6. National Museum of Art

The National Museum of Art was originally built for the Japan World Exposition, Osaka 1970, then renovated and relocated; the current building was inaugurated in 2004. Its collection centers on post-war art from Japan and abroad.

7. Osaka Science Museum

Opened in 1989 and located right in front of the National Museum of Art, the Osaka Science Museum (大阪市立科学館) is a 4-story, 3,000 m² museum themed around "Outer Space and Energy." Beyond its 200+ exhibits, it offers hands-on experiment areas, live shows with special guests, and Japan's very first planetarium.

8. Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts

The Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts (大阪市立美術館) is located within Tennoji Park. Originally opened in 1914 and relocated in 1936, the 7,000 m² museum exhibits mainly Japanese and East Asian fine art, including works by Hokusai (北斎). A Japanese-style garden open to the public sits within the museum grounds.
