New York City has seen it all, but this week brings something truly bizarre: a giant hairball tumbling through the streets of Manhattan. Hair-care brand K18 is launching The Tumblehair, a larger-than-life rolling sphere that will travel through several neighborhoods before its final stop.
The route takes The Tumblehair through Midtown, the West Village, Chinatown, and the Seaport District before arriving at Gansevoort Plaza outside Sephora Meatpacking. Visitors can get an up-close look at the fuzzy spectacle and even touch it.
This unusual event coincides with the launch of K18 FutureIQ Biomimetic Hair Longevity Serum, priced at $120. According to clinical studies cited by the brand, users saw up to 19,000 additional hairs, with 70 percent reporting fewer gray hairs over 12 weeks.
At the Meatpacking District stop, K18 will open a temporary Hair Longevity Lab offering complimentary scalp analyses, product demonstrations, and a claw machine stocked with prizes. Guests who purchase the serum can also receive customized scalp gua sha tools with on-site engraving.
Whether you are sold on reversing your hair biological age is another question, but a giant hairball rolling through Manhattan is certainly worth a look.
