Milan's Urban Beach 'Riviera Ovest': Sun Loungers, Aperitivo, Open-Air Dancing & Festive Feasts All August
From 30 July through the end of August, Milan's Mare Culturale Urbano transforms into 'Riviera Ovest: An Imaginary Geography' — a pop-up summer escape for those staying in the city. Expect deckchairs, spritzes, fried-food platters, card games, and balmy open-air evenings — all without leaving Milan.

What's On
At the heart of the festival is 'Una rotonda sul mare' ('A Dance Floor by the Sea'), the courtyard ballroom that comes alive almost nightly with classic dance tunes, led by musician Claudio Merli and singer Enzo Calabrese. Throughout August, the 'Cinemare 2026' open-air cinema series continues, while the bar and food stalls serve ice-cold beers, pizza, fried bites, and seasonal summer dishes.
