With more than seventy years of history, the festival offers a rich and varied programme: local cuisine, cultural events, concerts, sporting events and, as tradition dictates, a grand closing fireworks display.
Location: Piazza Italia, Garbatola (Nerviano, on the outskirts of Milan).
Food & drink
Every evening features a themed dinner showcasing the most beloved dishes of Lombard culinary tradition, including buséca (Milanese tripe soup), polenta and butter-fried Milanese cutlet (cotoletta alla milanese). Dishes range from €5 to €12.
Sat 29 Aug — "Sota i campan" dinner from 8pm (baked pasta and roast beef, with wine, cake and coffee included), €20 per person, booking required.
Sun 30 Aug — dinner from 7:30pm, Spanish night (paella).
Mon 31 Aug — dinner from 7:30pm, Roman night (amatriciana, gricia and cacio e pepe pasta).
Tue 1 Sep — dinner from 7:30pm, Romagna night (tagliatelle al ragù and piadina).
Wed 2 Sep — tripe tasting from 7pm; dinner from 7:30pm (Nando's buséca).
Thu 3 Sep — dinner from 7:30pm, Milanese night (tripe and saffron risotto with osso buco).
Fri 4 Sep — dinner from 7:30pm, Tyrolean night (canederli, gulash and pork shank with mashed potatoes).
Sat 5 Sep — dinner from 7:30pm, polenta night (polenta with wild boar, bruscitt, sausage or gorgonzola).
Sun 6 Sep — dinner from 7:30pm, Milanese night (pizzoccheri from Valtellina and Milanese cutlet).
