The Canadian International Air Show returns to Toronto this Labour Day weekend, bringing a mix of beloved returning acts, exciting newcomers, and an emotional farewell that aviation fans won't want to miss.
As the showpiece finale of the Canadian National Exhibition, the 77th edition of this summer tradition promises three days of breathtaking aerobatics above Lake Ontario. Here's your complete guide to the 2026 CNE Air Show.
When and Where
The 77th Canadian International Air Show runs from September 5 through September 7, closing out the CNE with a roar. Daily performances go from 12 p.m. to 3:40 p.m., and the event runs rain or shine — pilots make the final call on takeoff after assessing weather and safety conditions on the day.
Who's Flying This Year
2026's lineup strikes a balance between crowd favourites and fresh faces. The Canadian Forces Snowbirds headline the show in what may be their final Toronto appearance before a multi-year hiatus. The iconic squadron is marking 55 years of flying the Canadair CT-114 Tutor, and this could be the last chance to see them in Toronto skies until at least the 2030s, when replacement aircraft are expected to enter service.
Aerobatic racing ace Mike Tryggvason returns for his second year, joined by the ever-popular CF-18 Demonstration Team and Ontario's own Trevor Rafferty, piloting his Christen Eagle once again.
On the newcomers' side, the Pink Jet organization — a non-profit raising breast cancer awareness — brings its bright pink Aero Vodochody L-39 Albatros military trainer to the Toronto waterfront. The Jack Aces Formation Aerobatic Team also makes its debut, flying three meticulously restored P-51 Mustangs in formation.
Tickets and Viewing Spots
Premium seats are available in the Exclusive Airshow Zone at Exhibition Place (1095 Lake Shore Blvd. W.), which includes food vendors, first-come seating, and access to the pilot autograph tent. General admission starts at $107.99 CAD, all taxes and fees included, with tickets available online.
If you'd rather keep your wallet happy, the Toronto waterfront offers plenty of parks, patios, and free vantage points where you can catch the spectacle without spending a cent — a classic Toronto summer hack that locals swear by.
