Summer is winding down surprisingly fast — July seemed to vanish in the blink of an eye. With only a handful of sunny weeks left, there's a bittersweet feeling in the air. But that won't stop us from making the most of August. To kick off the final full month of summer in style, a long weekend awaits. Monday, August 3, 2026 marks the Civic Holiday, meaning some Toronto businesses and services will take the day off.
Thankfully, only a handful of spots will be fully closed, while others will operate with reduced hours — specifics vary by location. Plus, there are still plenty of things to keep you entertained across the city on Monday.
