The Vancouver Art Gallery is marking its 95th anniversary with an admission by donation day on Friday, October 2, 2026. The institution has been operating since October 5, 1931.
Visitors can access the venue from 10 AM to 4 PM on the anniversary date on a donation basis. Contributions support exhibitions, education, public programming, and art access. Online ticket booking in advance is recommended to ensure prompt entry, as hourly capacity is limited.
Gallery members and Access Pass holders receive complimentary admission as usual and are also advised to reserve tickets ahead of time.
Following the daytime event, the regular Free First Friday Night presented by BMO will run from 4 PM to 8 PM.
