Rijksmuseum to Host Willem de Kooning Retrospective in Amsterdam from October 2026

The exhibition marks 100 years since the artist departed the Netherlands for New York, where he became one of the most influential artists of the 20th century.

Exhibition Highlights
The upcoming showcase centres on a major retrospective of De Kooning's drawings, alongside a curated selection of his famous paintings and sculptures. Visitors will also have the opportunity to see two of his most iconic paintings displayed inside the museum's Gallery of Honour.
