A long-established restaurant founded in 1945 and now run by the third generation, located in Dotonbori, the famous okonomiyaki battleground. Beloved for over 70 years, it has 38 seats including counter seats where you can watch the staff cook. Uses original recipes and ingredients from Kuromon Ichiba market. 2. Houzenji Sanpei

A very popular restaurant running for over 40 years on the atmospheric Hozenji Yokocho near Dotonbori. Known for fluffiness and generous fillings; the signature "Suji Negi Konjac" okonomiyaki with beef tendon, scallions, and konjac is a must-try. Access: 5 min from Namba or Shinsaibashi Station | Closed Tuesday.

3. Chibo

A franchised okonomiyaki chain with 70 stores across Japan and abroad, 23 within Osaka Prefecture. The main branch is in Sennichimae near Namba Station, offering unique and innovative dishes in a clean, elegant setting, plus teppanyaki (steak, seafood, course meals). 4. Kiji Umeda

5. Tsuruhashi Fugetsu

6. Fukutaro

A famous restaurant with 4 branches in Japan (three in Osaka, one in Tokyo); the main branch is in Sennichimae near Namba Station. Cozy and always crowded, it serves authentic okonomiyaki and negiyaki (scallion-rich okonomiyaki), plus teppanyaki and wagyu beef. Access: 5 min from Namba Station.

7. Ajinoya
