LAGO Paderno Dugnano 2026: Milan's Hidden Summer Festival Returns with Free Music, World Food & Lakeside Wellness
Just outside Milan lies an unexpected natural gem that transforms into the metropolitan area's most vibrant summer destination — and it is completely free to enter. LAGO Paderno Dugnano, the summer-long festival at Parco Lago Nord, returns from 27 May to 6 September 2026 with its biggest programme yet: music, culture, wellness, street food and family entertainment spread across more than three months.

Now in its third edition, the festival is a joint project between the Municipality of Paderno Dugnano and Via Audio Srl, built on one of Lombardy's most successful environmental regeneration stories — a former industrial quarry turned public park in the 1980s. The previous two seasons drew tens of thousands of visitors, cementing the park's status as an essential summer landmark for Milan's metropolitan area.
A Music Lineup for Everyone
The 2026 programme is the most ambitious yet, featuring dozens of events spanning rock, blues, world music, jazz, 90s throwback nights, spoken-word poetry and theatre. Highlights include The Bluebeaters, Treves Blues Band, Bunna (Africa Unite) and Andrew Faber, alongside powerhouse tribute acts: Living Theory (Linkin Park), Orion (Metallica), Highway to Hell (AC/DC), EisernMann (Rammstein) and Made in Heaven (Queen).
One of the most anticipated formats is "A Cena con..." (Dinner with...), pairing acoustic concerts with dinner, dedicated to giants like Franco Battiato, Pino Daniele and The Doors.
Shanti Hour & World Street Food
Every Wednesday, the "Shanti Hour" invites visitors to wind down with sunset Qi Gong, yoga and holistic wellness practices by the lake. The food scene is equally exciting — "Cibo dal Mondo" (Food from the World) rotates through themed international street food: Greek Feast (27 May – 7 June), Roman Classics (10–21 June), and a skewers & smash burger fest (24 June – 5 July), with more themes rolling out throughout the summer.
LAGO 4 Kids: Family Fun Every Sunday
Sundays belong to families with "LAGO 4 Kids" — bubble shows, magic performances and poetry workshops designed to entertain the little ones and anyone young at heart.
A Word from the Mayor
Mayor Anna Varisco says: "LAGO is a project that grows year after year, bringing art, music, words and encounters to our city's green heart. It is much more than a summer festival — it is a concrete vision of community, sharing and regeneration."
