Just Sleep Taipei Zhongshan has achieved an 82% occupancy rate in its first month, channeling the nostalgic Showa-era aesthetic of hit Taiwanese drama "Light the Night" into the historic Tiao-Tong district. This fusion of segmented hospitality and Tiao-Tong's micro-bar culture is set to become Taipei's next hot spot for alleyway tourism.

Wandering through the neon-lit lanes of Taipei's Tiao-Tong (eight-lane) district in Zhongshan, you'll discover a unique urban charm where vintage-modern aesthetics meet the city's pulse. Just Sleep, the design hotel brand under the Regent Taipei Group, has unveiled its newest property — Just Sleep Taipei Zhongshan. Since its soft opening in mid-June, the hotel has drawn inspiration from the Showa-era atmosphere depicted in the hit series "Light the Night," blending nostalgic modernity with Taiwanese sensibilities to create a story-rich, city-chic micro-bar experience.

Tiao-Tong Atmosphere & Spatial Design

Stepping into the hotel, guests are greeted by a public space designed around the "No Boundary" concept — dissolving the cold barriers of traditional hotel lobbies. This property is the only Just Sleep location to offer a daily Happy Hour with complimentary red and white wine service from afternoon through evening. The next morning, a sumptuous breakfast buffet combines Chinese, Western, and Japanese flavors, including classic Taiwanese lu rou fan (braised pork rice) and hot curry rice. All 50 guest rooms feature outward-facing windows, with select rooms offering private balconies.

Accommodation Packages

The hotel reports that roughly half of its first-month guests were domestic Taiwanese travelers, while the other half came from Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, and South Korea. For couples and friends, the "Grand Opening" package starts at NT$2,200 per night for double occupancy — just NT$1,100 per person — including Happy Hour access and breakfast. Solo travelers can opt for the "Introvert Recharge Plan" at NT$2,100 per night, which includes a custom "Do Not Disturb" magnetic light box, a witty "The World Is Loud, This Cup Is Just Right" shot glass charm, and a tasting tube of award-winning Kavalan whisky.
