The Li River flows with affection, while peaks vie in beauty. On the fertile land along the eastern bank of the Li River stands a landmark that encapsulates the soul of Guilin’s landscapes—the Seven Star Scenic Area. Renowned for its four signature features—"clear mountains, graceful waters, fantastic caves, and exquisite rocks"—it outshines all in Guilin. It is both a vivid microcosm of Guilin’s natural beauty and a scenic haven steeped in millennia of culture. Every vista holds the most enchanting aspect of Guilin, leaving visitors utterly captivated.

As a landmark of Guilin, the prestige of the Seven Star Scenic Area is rooted in the honour of being part of the city’s ancient Eight Sights. It claims two of the eight sights, each exuding timeless charm. "Qixia Fairyland"—the Seven Star Cave—is a masterpiece of nature’s craftsmanship, with stalactites of myriad forms inside a deep and wondrous cavern. The great traveller Xu Xiake once explored the cave twice, leaving behind his immortal footprints, earning it the reputation as the "Premier Cave Heaven." Strolling through the cave feels like wandering through a celestial realm, with every step treading upon the verses of time.

Meanwhile, "Vase Hill's Crimson Glow"—the Camel Mountain—stands as a distinct symbol of Guilin’s landscapes with its unique karst formation, hailed as the second city emblem of Guilin. The mountain resembles a camel with its head raised and body crouched, incredibly lifelike. On sunny days, sunlight spills over the rock face, casting a crimson glow that harmonises with the surrounding waters, becoming the most picturesque sight under the lens and an irreplaceable cultural imprint in the hearts of Guilin locals.

If the Seven Star Cave and Camel Mountain are gifts of nature, then the Flower Bridge’s Rainbow Reflection is the cherished favourite of literati and poets. This ancient bridge, spanning the Small East River, bears the vicissitudes of a thousand years of history. Boating on the river, one gazes at the stone bridge in the distance; its reflection shimmers in the crystal‑clear water, blending reality and illusion into a poetic tableau. A gentle breeze stirs ripples on the river, as if one can hear the bridge softly recounting tales of the past, every ray of light exuding the gentle elegance reminiscent of Jiangnan.

Come to the Seven Star Scenic Area—no need to travel far to encounter all the beauty of Guilin’s landscapes. Gaze upon the clear mountains and graceful waters harbouring serenity, admire the fantastic caves and exquisite rocks embodying craftsmanship, and visit the ancient bridge’s reflection to trace a millennium of history. Here, you can follow in Xu Xiake’s footsteps and explore the hidden wonders of caves; pause before Camel Mountain to capture Guilin’s emblem; or drift along the Small East River to savour the poetry of the Flower Bridge. Let the landscapes heal your weariness and the culture nourish your soul—embark on a beautiful rendezvous with Guilin’s landmark, and cherish the splendours of the world.
