Guangxi Guilin Elephant Trunk Hill Scenic Area Ticket + Fubo Hill Ticket + Diecai Hill Ticket

The Elephant Trunk Hill Scenic Area is located at the confluence of the Li River and the Taohua River in the heart of Guilin city centre. It is named after its resemblance to a giant elephant dipping its trunk into the sweet waters of the Li River. In the Qing Dynasty, Shu Shu, a Director of the Ministry of Works, wrote in "Notes on Elephant Hill": "The marvel of western Guangdong lies in its mountains, the marvel of its mountains lies in their rocks, and the elephant facing the provincial capital is the most extraordinary of them all." With its lifelike form, Elephant Trunk Hill is a captivating sight and a quintessential representation of Guilin's landscape. In 1995, it was designated as the city emblem of Guilin. At the 2014 CCTV Spring Festival Gala, the Hungarian dance troupe Attraction showcased Elephant Trunk Hill in their creative dance piece "Symbols of China".

The main attractions within the scenic area include: Water Moon Cave at Elephant Hill, Puxian Pagoda, Sanhua Wine Cellar, Lovers' Island, and the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Exhibition Hall at Yunfeng Temple.

"Water Moon Cave at Elephant Hill" is one of the great wonders of Elephant Trunk Hill. During the Song Dynasty, a hermit scholar from Jibei wrote a poem titled "Matching the Rhyme of Water Moon Cave": "Beneath the water lies a bright moon, above the water a bright moon floats. The water flows but the moon stays, the moon departs but the water still runs." If you visit to admire the scenery of Water Moon Cave on a night with a bright full moon, you will witness a marvellous picture where the moon in the sky, the moon in the cave, and the moon reflected in the water complement each other beautifully. The cave currently houses over 50 precious cliff inscriptions, including Zhang Xiaoxiang's "Poem and Preface of Chaoyang Pavilion" from the Song Dynasty, Fan Chengda's "Inscription of the Restoration of Water Moon Cave", and Lu You's poetic notes.

Lovers' Island is located on the northern side of the Elephant Trunk Hill Scenic Area, bordering the Li River, and offers another vantage point for viewing Elephant Trunk Hill from a distance. The island boasts a beautiful environment with lush vegetation and was a popular spot for local courting couples in the 1970s, hence its name "Lovers' Island". Today, it serves as an outdoor photography base for wedding shoots amidst Guilin's landscapes, where lovers make their vows of love under the witness of the Water Moon Cave at Elephant Hill.
