The Li River stretches for a hundred li, hiding the wonders of mountains and waters, and Guanyan (Crown Cave) is a brilliant pearl set along its banks. Named after its resemblance to an imperial crown, this colossal underground river karst cave combines natural wonders with fun experiences. As early as 1637, Xu Xiake recorded it in his travel diaries, and today it remains the only developed karst cave attraction along the essence section of the Li River, fulfilling all your fantasies of an underground wonderland.

Guanyan is grand in scale, stretching 12 kilometres in total, with a 3‑kilometre accessible tour route where every step reveals a scenic view. The three cave layers are arranged in an orderly fashion, hiding unknown natural marvels. The upper and middle layers are dry caves, adorned with various stalactites hanging in myriad shapes and majestic forms. Enhanced by a carefully designed sound and light system, the stalagmites shimmer in vibrant colours under the coloured lights, appearing lifelike as if you have stepped into a fairyland. The lower layer features an underground river over 700 metres long, with crystal‑clear water and the soothing sound of flowing water, perfectly balancing stillness and motion, showcasing the cave's mystery and vitality.

Unlike ordinary single‑visit karst caves, Guanyan offers diverse ways to unlock an immersive experience, full of fun and great value for money. The main ticket already includes the 36‑metre‑high Qingyun Sightseeing Lift, an underground tram, and an underground river floating bridge, all at no extra cost, unlocking multiple experiences. The sightseeing slide is available for single or round trips, and the combo ticket with admission is a better deal to suit different visitors' needs. The entire tour takes 90 minutes at a relaxed pace, making it easy to appreciate the beauty of the cave.

One tour unlocks multiple surprises. Take the sightseeing cart through the rural fields, feeling the gentle breeze as you arrive at the cave entrance. Ride the Qingyun Lift straight down into the cave, instantly plunging into a fantastical hidden realm. Stroll along the underground winding bridge, leaning on the railing to listen to the flowing water, experiencing both the tranquillity and the surging power of the underground river. Encounter the deep pool and waterfall, watching the water curtain cascade down and hearing the roaring echoes. Walk the floating bridge to explore the underground river, and look up to see the magnificent Palm Hall, with gigantic stalactite pillars resembling palm trees, showcasing the wonders of nature. Finally, take the tram through the underground canyon, witnessing the overhanging cliffs and perilous rocks, immersing yourself in the depth and grandeur of the underground canyon.

There is no noisy crowd here, only nature's masterpiece and a relaxing, enjoyable experience. Whether you are travelling with family, friends, or exploring alone, you can find your own joy at Guanyan. Stalactites record the marks of time, the underground river flows with natural poetry, and diverse activities add to the fun. Every step brings a different surprise.

When you answer the call of the Li River, you must explore the wonder of Guanyan. Come here to ride the lift, take the tram, stroll across the floating bridge, and amidst the interplay of light and stalactites, unveil the mystery of the underground wonderland. Create a fantastical memory hidden along the Li River, and experience the unique charm where nature and culture intertwine.
