JR West All Area Pass


The voucher is valid within 90 days from order confirmation, expiring at 23:59 on the last day.
Please present the e‑voucher.
(1) Children aged 0‑1 are free of charge;
(2) Each passenger holding an adult rail pass may bring up to two children aged 1‑5 free of charge (without a seat); the third child onwards must purchase a child rail pass;
(3) JR Pass is only applicable to non‑Japanese passport holders with a 'Temporary Visitor' visa. Non‑Japanese passport holders with permanent residency in Japan are not eligible;
(4) Please obtain a 'Temporary Visitor' stamp/sticker upon entry to legally use the JR Pass. Using automated gates will prevent you from obtaining the aforementioned stamp/sticker;
(1) Please collect the physical ticket at the green ticket vending machine by scanning the e‑ticket and the QR code of the non‑Japanese passport;
(2) You can also use the pass to exchange reserved seat tickets;
(3) If the machine malfunctions or your passport does not have an IC chip, please proceed to the JR‑WEST ticket office to exchange for a physical ticket;
(1) Seat reservations can be made at the ticket office with station staff;
(2) You must exchange your voucher for a JR Pass before you can reserve seats;
Large vehicles can accommodate wheelchairs

Partial refund policy: Used physical tickets can be refunded at JR ticket counters (Midori-no-madoguchi) with a 10% handling fee.
The voucher can be used within the exchange period; no refund will be given if the voucher/ticket has been exchanged or expired.
Cancellation before voucher exchange is subject to a 0% cancellation fee.

Which Shinkansen and JR trains are covered?
The JR‑WEST All Area Pass allows you to ride various trains within the designated area. It covers reserved and non‑reserved seats on the "Sanyo Shinkansen" between Shin‑Osaka and Hakata, including the Hello Kitty Shinkansen. It also includes reserved seats on the "Hokuriku Shinkansen" between Kanazawa and Joetsu‑Myoko, as well as Limited Express trains such as Haruka, Kuroshio, Thunderbird, Kounotori, Super Hakuto, and Yakumo. The pass is also valid for Special Rapid Services, Rapid Services, and Local trains on JR West conventional lines. Additionally, it can be used on routes within the valid area of the JR West Miyajima Ferry and the West Japan JR Bus, excluding highway buses.
What is NOT covered by the JR‑WEST All Area Pass?
The JR‑WEST All Area Pass does not cover certain train services, including the bullet train "Tokkaido Shinkansen" between Shin‑Osaka and Tokyo, and the bullet train "Kyushu Shinkansen" between Hakata and Kagoshima‑Chuo.
