Kansai is not just about Kyoto's ancient temples and Osaka's bustling streets. Tucked away on the Tango Peninsula lies a hidden seaside gem with some of Japan's most healing mountain‑and‑sea scenery! This one‑day tour departs flexibly from both Osaka Umeda and Kyoto — no need to plan your own transport or spend hours researching. Visit one of Japan's Three Great Views and a century‑old seaside fishing village in one go, effortlessly taking in natural wonders and traditional Japanese culture.

The first stop is Amanohashidate, a world‑famous natural wonder in northern Kyoto Prefecture. A 3.6km sandbar separates Aso Bay from Miyazu Bay, lined with over 8,000 pine trees — a stunning contrast of blue sea and green forest, like a living painting. The name carries two romantic legends: whether it's the unique visual experience of looking through your legs to see the sandbar as a bridge to the sky, or the myth of a heavenly bridge falling to earth, both add poetic charm to this beautiful landscape.

We recommend taking the chairlift up to the Amanohashidate viewpoint. As you slowly ascend, you'll take in the scenery of all four seasons and enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the sandbar, the pine forest and the vast bay.

Next, we visit the thousand‑year‑old Chionji Temple Monju‑do Hall. The temple enshrines Monju Bosatsu, the Bodhisattva of Wisdom, and is a renowned sacred site in Kansai for praying for academic success. The temple grounds feature wisdom‑themed architecture and unique local delicacies, attracting countless students every year to make their wishes.

Then we head to Ine, a fishing village recognised as one of Japan's most beautiful villages. Along nearly 5km of coastline, over 230 Edo‑period boathouses stand by the sea — a traditional coastal architectural complex found nowhere else in Japan.

Take a sightseeing cruise around Ine Bay to admire the pristine fishing village up close. You can also buy shrimp crackers to feed the seagulls that follow the boat, fully immersing yourself in the simple and tranquil seaside atmosphere. The whole tour is relaxed with no rushing, and the small‑group format ensures a comfortable, hassle‑free experience — unlock a different side of quality Kansai on this one‑day trip!
