Located in Kita‑ku, Osaka, the Umeda Sky Building Floating Garden Observatory is the core tourist facility of Japan's first connected super‑tall skyscraper. Designed by renowned architect Hiroshi Hara, it has been selected as one of the "World's Top 20 Buildings" by DK Publishing (UK). The observatory is spread across the 39th floor, 40th floor, and rooftop, reaching an altitude of 173 metres. It connects the east and west 40‑storey towers, offering a 360‑degree open‑air platform with panoramic views of Osaka city, the Yodo River, Osaka Bay, and even the Akashi Kaikyō Bridge. The facility features transparent observation elevators and cross‑floor transparent escalators. On basement level B1, the "Takimi Koji" retro shopping street recreates the Showa‑era Osaka streetscape. It also includes a sky café, fine dining restaurants, and souvenir shops. Holders of the Osaka Amazing Pass can enjoy free or discounted entry UMEDA SKY BUILDING.

173m 360‑Degree Open‑Air Panoramic View: The rooftop open‑air observatory allows you to capture the full beauty of Osaka day and night. By day, you can see Osaka Castle and Mount Ikoma; from dusk to night, enjoy the dazzling city lights and the twilight over Osaka Bay — an ideal spot for photography and dates.

Unique Twin‑Tower Connected Architecture: As Japan's first connected super‑tall skyscraper, the top‑floor Floating Garden Observatory rigidly connects the two towers, combining disaster prevention and tourism functions. Its distinctive design has become an iconic landmark in Osaka's Umeda district and has been featured on world‑renowned architectural lists.

Immersive Transparent Escalator Experience: Take the cross‑floor transparent escalator from the 35th floor to the observatory. As you move, you can look down into the building's spacious interior and the distant cityscape, creating a unique floating‑in‑midair sensation — a popular spot for social media check‑ins.

Showa‑Era Retro Street Complex Experience: The "Takimi Koji" on basement level B1 recreates the Osaka streetscape of the early Showa period, featuring retro dining establishments, old‑fashioned mailboxes, and police box settings. This allows visitors to experience Osaka's historical charm while taking in the views, combining sightseeing with leisure UMEDA SKY BUILDING.

Atmospheric Sky Dining Options: On the 40th floor, the self‑roasting café "cafe SKY 40" offers exclusive waffles and world craft beers; the 39th floor features a high‑end Chinese restaurant and a star‑gazing lounge. Enjoy exquisite dining while admiring the view, elevating your sightseeing experience UMEDA SKY BUILDING.
