The Nativity façade of the Basilica of the Sagrada Família illuminated in green on Saturday, 19 September, participating in the international Light Up for Mito campaign.
Organised by the Spanish Association of Patients with Mitochondrial Disorders (AEPMI), the initiative draws attention to mitochondrial diseases through the symbolic green lighting of monuments and buildings globally.
This event marked the third charity illumination of the Nativity façade during the year. The basilica undertakes these actions to support organisations improving the quality of life for vulnerable individuals and those affected by various diseases.
