Inclusive Fencing Under the Stars
Organised by the Accademia d’Armi Musumeci Greco 1878 in official collaboration with FederScherma (the Italian Fencing Federation), the event promotes social inclusion by bringing diverse athletes onto the same piste. Olympic, Paralympic, visually impaired, able-bodied, and wheelchair fencers will showcase their skills together. The spectacle features live commentary from Italian swimming icon Novella Calligaris alongside Academy President Renzo Musumeci Greco, continuing a tradition that has previously welcomed fencing stars like Valentina Vezzali, Aldo Montano, and Bebe Vio Grandis.
How to Participate and Visit
The event is completely free of charge and open to fencers of all ages and skill levels, provided they bring their own regulation equipment. No formal registration process is required. Participants can utilize changing space at the nearby Casa Museo Accademia d’Armi Musumeci Greco located just steps from the square. Visitors attending the event can also take advantage of guided tours available at the museum space.
