The 'Barça Bus': A New Match-Day Shuttle Will Loop Around Camp Nou to Help Residents

With the start of the season and the usual traffic restrictions in the area, this initiative aims to ease street closures and keep the district's neighbourhoods connected so everyday life doesn't grind to a halt.

There are days in Les Corts when the asphalt seems to beat to a different rhythm. When the ball is about to roll at the blaugrana stadium, the surrounding streets turn into a maze of closures and diversions. To give residents back some much-needed normality and avoid isolation, Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) will launch a new special bus service.

Coinciding with the start of the season, this circular route will run exclusively on days when FC Barcelona plays at the Spotify Camp Nou. The vehicle's mission is simple but vital for the neighbourhood: to bypass the barriers set up by security and traffic operations, linking the areas most affected by crowds and ensuring district residents can keep moving and connect with regular public transport lines.

A six-kilometre loop through Les Corts

To keep mobility from becoming a headache, the bus will follow a circular route of roughly six kilometres. The starting point will be near the Ernest Lluch interchange, on Camí de Torre Melina.

From there, the vehicle will travel along the Carretera de Collblanc, up through Cardenal Reig and Avinguda de Sant Ramon Nonat before briefly returning to the Carretera de Collblanc. It will then continue along Avinguda de Madrid, Gran Via de Carles III and the Diagonal, before descending along Avinguda del Doctor Marañón and Avinguda de Xile to complete the loop back at Camí de Torre Melina. The itinerary is designed to cover the most strategic stops that usually get disconnected during sporting events.

Timing: before, during and after the final whistle

The service won't only run while the ball is rolling. The bus will start its engines two hours before each match kicks off, keep looping continuously throughout the game, and won't stand down until an hour and a half after it ends.

The idea is that residents won't have to wait too long: the frequency will be around 15 minutes, and the bus will take roughly 32 minutes to complete its full circular route. That said, TMB warns these times could stretch slightly depending on how traffic flows in the area, especially at the moments when the streets are busiest.

So that no one gets lost looking for their stop, the affected shelters along the route will have specific signage — both fixed signs and dynamic screens — to help guide passengers.
