Toronto Folk Festival 2026 Returns to Ward's Island: Lineup, Tickets & Ferry Guide

Toronto's signature summer folk music celebration is back for another year, taking over Ward's Island from August 21 to 23 with a packed lineup of live performances across two stages.

What's Playing This Year

The 2026 edition features performances at two waterfront venues: the WIA Pavilion at 20 Withrow Street and The Outpost at 101 Cibola Avenue. The artist roster blends local and international talent, with confirmed acts including folk-rockers the Young Novelists, Afro-Latin-Caribbean ensemble Kobotown, the Mexican Legacy Dancers, and Métis Jiggers & Fiddlers. Food and drink stands will be available at both stage areas, and visitors can also grab a bite at nearby Island Café or Riviera, both staying open throughout the festival weekend.

Getting There

Ward's Island is a short ferry ride from downtown Toronto. First-time visitors can catch the public ferry from Jack Layton Ferry Terminal or hop on a Pirate Taxi water shuttle. The festival has partnered with the water taxi service to offer flat $13 fares each way, departing from 235 and 375 Queens Quay West. Once you land at the Ward's Island dock, simply follow the posted signage — the festival grounds sit just behind Island Café on the path toward the beach.
