Taiwan's North Coast just got a major upgrade for travelers. The New Taipei City Tourism Bureau has announced an enhanced version of the "Youth Ocean Line" scenic double-decker bus tour, now featuring a brand-new yacht experience on the Tamsui River. The Tuesday-exclusive package starts at just NT$988 per person and includes complimentary local treats — the famous Shimen Liu Family Zongzi (rice dumplings) and Shimen Tieguanyin aged tea. Tours run from August 18 through December 2026.

A Moving Observation Deck Along the Coast

Standing 4.2 meters tall with an open-top design, the double-decker bus has earned its nickname as a "mobile observation deck." The route strings together the North Coast's most scenic spots: Wanli Happiness Square, the dramatic Venus Coast, Camel Peak rock formation, Jinshan Old Street, the Xiaohe Lotus Base, and the Fugui Cape Lighthouse trail. When the bus cruises along seaside stretches, passengers enjoy the surreal sensation of floating above the ocean — a perspective that no ordinary tour bus can deliver.

The tour's biggest upgrade is the addition of a "sea perspective" experience.
