Nong Nooch Tropical Garden is a private botanical garden founded by Mr. Wang Jinliang, a Thai‑Chinese businessman and one of the top ten richest people in Thailand. Mr. Wang initially started a botanical garden. By chance, the Queen of Thailand saw the beautiful flowers he had planted and invited him to grow plants in the royal palace. When offered compensation, Mr. Wang chose a barren hill from the royal family, where he planted various tropical plants and flowers. After more than a decade of hard work, he established the Nong Nooch Tropical Garden, whose landscaping is top‑notch and comparable to any state‑run botanical garden in China.

Nong Nooch Tropical Garden is located near the tourist destination of Pattaya, Thailand, covering an area of over 200 hectares. The garden features an artificial lake with shimmering water, small streams winding around pavilions and towers, lush trees, birdsong, and floral fragrance, creating a picturesque scene. Within the garden, there is a cultural village that showcases Thai national culture. Nong Nooch Tropical Garden mainly has three themes, two of which are performances and the other is a botanical garden. The shows at Nong Nooch consist of two parts: Thai folk performances and elephant shows.
First Theme: Folk Performances
The folk songs and dances are simple and authentic, performed by villagers. The folk theatre presents graceful traditional Thai dances and entertaining acrobatics. The stage scenery changes with each performance, sometimes dazzling and sometimes misty, accompanied by 360‑degree surround sound, captivating almost every audience member as they intently watch each show.
Second Theme: Elephant Show
Elephants, as one of Thailand's symbols, are usually seen as gentle creatures. At Nong Nooch Tropical Garden, you can watch elephants perform various stunts, including giving Thai massages, playing football, dancing, and bowing for New Year greetings—they are warm and intelligent. You can also buy bananas to feed the elephants.

Third Theme: Botanical Garden
In the botanical garden, you can explore the tropical plant garden, with fluttering butterflies, a rose garden, a cactus garden, and many other plants. A distinctive feature is the aerial walkway. The highlight of the botanical garden is the life‑sized dinosaurs! It's comparable to Jurassic Park. If you find the park too large and get tired, you can opt for a paid shuttle ride on‑site.

The Four Regions Floating Market covers an area of 100,000 square metres, approximately the size of 14 football fields. This man‑made floating market is divided into different areas representing Thailand's northern, central, northeastern, and southern regions, with local products and shops in each corresponding area. Located outside Pattaya city, the market was used as a filming location for parts of the movie "Go Lala Go!" The market is quite different from what most people imagine; it is typically Thai in style, with both boat vendors on the water and shopkeepers on the shore, all exuding a sense of tranquillity, fully reflecting the slow pace of Thai life. The layout is like a layered water village.
Transport Tip: The Four Regions Floating Market is about 12‑15 kilometres from Nong Nooch Tropical Garden, and a taxi ride takes approximately 20 minutes.
