About Koh Samed
Koh Samed is a small island with a population of less than 50,000. Coconut trees can be seen everywhere on the island, and coconuts have become the main source of income for local residents. The fragrant aroma of coconuts can always be found on Koh Samed. Unlike the hustle and bustle of Bangkok or Pattaya, the people on the island are very relaxed and simple, making it a zero‑pollution island.

Koh Samed Hat Sai Kaew Beach
Hat Sai Kaew Beach, commonly known as Diamond Beach, is an 800‑metre long beach. As it is only a 5‑minute drive from Nadan Pier, it is one of the 4 most popular beaches on Koh Samed. It offers a wide variety of water sports facilities, making it ideal for tourists who love water activities.
Here you can find all kinds of shops, guesthouses, restaurants and bars. There are also vendors, massage therapists and water sports organisers stationed on the beach, ready to serve you whenever you need them. The atmosphere here is very lively, and it is packed with people on Saturdays and Sundays. Due to its popularity, prices here are generally higher than on other beaches on Koh Samed.

Koh Samed Ao Wong Duean Beach
Taking a songthaew (two‑row vehicle) from Nadan Pier takes about 15‑20 minutes, costing no more than 50 baht, while a private car is fixed at 200 baht.
Some hotels on the beach provide dedicated ferry services between Ban Phe and Ao Wong Duean, charging about HK$11 for non‑guests, with 2‑5 trips per day.
Ao Wong Duean is a beach second only to Hat Sai Kaew in popularity. Although it has fewer holiday cottages and a smaller visitor capacity than Hat Sai Kaew, it still attracts many tourists.
The resort accommodation here is generally more suitable for families or groups of friends. Whether you want to swim in the sea or sunbathe on the beach, it is very convenient. Like Hat Sai Kaew, it also offers Thai massage, banana boat rides and vendors, ensuring all your needs are met.

Koh Samed Ao Phai Pier
Taking a songthaew (two‑row vehicle) from Nadan Pier takes about 10 minutes
Ao Phai, adjacent to Hat Sai Kaew Beach, is currently the fastest‑growing beach on Koh Samed. It exudes a vibrant energy and is full of holiday atmosphere, making it the top choice for young people visiting Koh Samed. However, as more and more tourists visit, this lively beach has begun to become commercialised.
