The Rail Bike is located on the Shen'ao Branch Line, between Badouzi Railway Station and Shen'ao Railway Station. In the early days, the Shen'ao Line was a light railway with a gauge of 762 mm during the Japanese colonial period, commonly known as the "five‑inch gauge train" (hun‑hun‑á‑chhia). It was mainly used to transport sugar, salt, and coal to the port for transshipment overseas. It was once a thriving branch line, running neck and neck with the Pingxi Line, and even surpassing it in prominence. Badouzi Railway Station is not only the station closest to the sea in Taiwan, offering panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and the beauty of the sea meeting the sky, but its platform also spans across Keelung City and New Taipei City, making it the only station in Taiwan that crosses two municipalities — quite a unique feature. Here, you can stand with one foot in New Taipei City and the other in Keelung. The entire one‑way ride takes 25 minutes and covers 1.3 kilometres, allowing you to pedal along while savouring the gentle sea breeze and the scenery.

Those who have booked a ride on the Rail Bike must complete check‑in 30 minutes before the scheduled departure of the booked trip. Check‑in closes 15 minutes before departure. If you fail to arrive and check in or board within the specified time, no waiting will be entertained, and no refund or rescheduling will be offered.

Pets must be placed in a pet carrier or bag measuring no more than 30 cm in length, 55 cm in width, and 20 cm in height, with no risk of faecal leakage, and positioned behind the seat before riding. The aforementioned pets do not include snakes, ferocious animals, or species that may endanger passengers or affect public hygiene.

If you fail to bring your identification documents or your identity does not match, resulting in the inability to redeem your ticket, no refund or rescheduling will be provided.

The managing authority reserves the right to cancel reservations under special circumstances or for safety reasons (e.g., typhoons/earthquakes, etc.).

All visitors must comply with the relevant regulations and safety instructions when entering and riding.
