Introduction to Haeundae Blueline Park

(Haeundae Blueline Park)is located in the Haeundae Tourism Special District in Busan, South Korea. It is one of Busan's most representative eco‑tourism regeneration attractions. With the core concept of "renewing old railways and coexisting with the coast," the park has upgraded the dormant Donghae Nambu Line old railway facilities in an eco‑friendly and sustainable way, transforming them into an international‑class coastal leisure and sightseeing corridor in Busan.

The park's coastline stretches 4.8 kilometres in total, with the route connecting three major coastal sections: Haeundae Mipo → Cheongsapo → Songjeong. It fully preserves the historical texture of the old railway while combining stunning views of the East Sea, coastal walking trails and seaside green spaces. It is one of the few one‑stop attractions in Busan that offers "historical railway culture + pure coastal nature + a relaxing sightseeing experience," and it is also a signature landmark facility of the Haeundae Tourism Special District.

Unlike ordinary city parks, the biggest highlight of Haeundae Blueline Park is that it operates two exclusive sightseeing experiences along its dedicated seaside railway tracks: the Haeundae Beach Train and the Haeundae Sky Capsule. These are currently among the most popular attractions in Busan for social media check‑ins, sunset photography, family leisure and couple getaways.

Two Signature Sightseeing Experiences

1. Haeundae Sky Capsule

Busan's most popular aerial coastal sightseeing attraction and the crown jewel of Blueline Park. The Sky Capsule is a colourful transparent aerial cabin available in four macaron colours — blue, red, yellow and green — with a dreamy and unique design that is perfect for photos and social media check‑ins. The cabins are suspended on an elevated track 7–10 metres above the ground, running along the Mipo to Cheongsapo section at a slow, steady pace with unobstructed views.

During the ride, you can enjoy 360‑degree panoramic views of Gwangan Bridge, Busan's coastal skyline, and the endless blue waters of the East Sea. The blue skies and sea views in the daytime are refreshing and healing, while the sunset in the evening paints the sea in stunning romantic hues. It is a must‑try experience for couples and influencers visiting Busan, and one of the most talked‑about classic Busan experiences on social media platforms.

2. Haeundae Beach Train

A sightseeing train that travels along the full 4.8‑kilometre coastal railway at a leisurely, relaxed pace, designed specifically for sightseeing rather than commuting. The train runs close to the coastline, passing through forests, seaside walkways and coastal tunnels, connecting the distinctive scenery of Mipo, Cheongsapo and Songjeong along the way.

Riding the Beach Train allows you to enjoy the entire coastal scenery effortlessly, taking in Haeundae's urban sea views, fishing village charm and seaside green spaces in one go. It is ideal for seniors, families and visitors who prefer not to walk, offering a comfortable and fatigue‑free way to explore the full beauty of the Haeundae coastline and experience the unique charm of a transformed old railway turned sightseeing corridor.
