Feel the lingering snow, marvel at the magnificent canyon scenery, escape the summer heat of the city, take in the mountains cloaked in autumn red, and explore Japan's sacred hidden gem Kamikochi. Unwind at a hot spring hotel, with all transport arrangements taken care of from Nagoya — no need for stressful self‑driving or troublesome ticket exchanges. Effortlessly enjoy a dreamy mountain journey.

Kamikochi, at an altitude of 1,500 metres, is embraced by majestic mountains with crystal‑clear lakes. The Azusa River flows gently past Kappa Bridge and Myojin Bridge, making it one of Japan's most breathtaking mountain sanctuaries. The itinerary allows 3.5‑4 hours of free exploration. Beginners can choose the gentle Taisho Pond‑Kappa Bridge route to easily capture the classic sights; those with plenty of energy can head towards Myojin Bridge, away from the crowds, to enjoy the tranquil mountain atmosphere and experience the raw vitality of the Northern Alps first‑hand.

The next day, fully enjoy the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, taking turns on six modes of transport — cable cars, highland buses, tunnel trolley buses, mountain railways, and the Kanden Tunnel electric bus — traversing endless canyons and peaks. Walk through the ancient forests of Bijodaira, reach Murodo to admire the lingering snow scenery of the great snow valley; from June to October, witness the spectacular discharge from Kurobe Dam, and with luck, spot Japanese serows; from September to early November, the hillsides are painted in layers of gold and vivid red maple leaves — every moment is awe‑inspiring. Capture unforgettable photos from the snowy heights and immerse yourself in the grandeur of the Alps.

In the evening, check in at Toyama Royal Tonami Onsen Resort Hotel or an equivalent hotel. Soak in the soothing hot spring to wash away the day's walking fatigue, enjoy a rich buffet dinner and breakfast, and savour Toyama's local cuisine with a diverse selection of Japanese and Western dishes — the perfect way to recharge and rest.

The entire trip departs from Nagoya Station, saving you the hassle of complicated transfers and leaving more time for the stunning scenery. Whether you're escaping the summer heat or chasing autumn maple colours, this two‑day tour brings together snow‑capped mountains, forests, streams, maple leaves and hot springs in one go, creating an unforgettable in‑depth mountain journey through Japan.
