Your journey begins by meeting your guide and boarding a customised super jeep! We will depart from the glacier lagoon and head to Breiðamerkurjökull, a glacier tongue extending from Vatnajökull. Along the way, your guide will share fascinating insights about ice cave formation and local culture.
The caves we visit are 100% natural, constantly forming and changing with the seasons and weather conditions. The walking distance of the tour ranges between 1 ‑ 4 km. Before entering the cave, your guide will provide a safety briefing and equip you with all necessary safety gear. Due to the ever‑changing nature of glaciers and caves, each tour is unique. You will witness a variety of stunning ice layers and colours, ranging from blue to emerald green, and even striking black ice.

Outbound: Meet‑up. Optional departure times: 08:50, 09:20, 12:50, 13:20 (Please ensure you attend the activity at the time selected during booking), Different meet‑up times: Oct ‑ Nov 09:20 & 13:20; Dec ‑ Jan 08:50 & 12:50; Feb ‑ Apr 09:20 & 13:20. Finding your guide is very easy, as we are located right next to the cafe. No refunds for late arrivals or no‑shows.
