The total area of Sanshui District Forest Park exceeds 120,000 mu. The park is home to numerous ponds and lakes, as well as vast expanses of dense woodland. There are health walking trails, leisure pavilions, and other amenities. Upon exiting Heartless Valley, you will see two lakes nestled together. A large boulder by the lake bears the bold, vigorous inscription "Mandarin Duck Lake". Surrounded by lush trees, the lake shimmers with ripples, presenting a picturesque landscape of mountains and waters, with the clear lake reflecting the myriad charms of the shore. Along the lakeside, there are scenic spots such as a pebble beach, the Ancient Well of Fate, Ziya's Fishing Spot, an arch bridge in classic style, and a hidden grotto. In the centre of the lake, there is even a decorative fountain. The entire lake exudes a nostalgic, romantic Chinese ambience. Especially at night, when the moonlight, lake reflections, and lights complement one another, it becomes a favoured spot for couples to express their love. Hence, the saying "Mandarin Duck Lake brims with romance" originates from here.

The Square is situated in the middle of Mandarin Duck Lake, built facing the mountain, which lends it an extraordinary grandeur. It is a large square integrating entertainment, gatherings, hill‑climbing, and leisure functions. Within the square stands an iconic boulder – the Declaration Stone – which symbolises a couple jointly expressing their declaration of love. In a broader sense, it also signifies the Forest Park's ecological declaration and development vision. In addition, the square features totem poles and extensive horticultural displays for visitors to admire, as well as an outdoor grand stage where colourful large‑scale cultural performances can be enjoyed during festivals, leaving you thoroughly entertained and reluctant to leave.
