Program explores Scotland through classical works
Conductor Luis Schmidt will guide the orchestra through a diverse selection of pieces reflecting Scottish culture and history. The repertoire features Malcolm Arnold's Four Scottish Dances, James MacMillan's Larghetto, and Max Richter's score from the film Mary Queen of Scots.

A major highlight of the concert will be Max Bruch's Scottish Fantasy, a piece steeped in traditional Scottish folk melodies. Violinist Andrea Cicalese will take center stage as the soloist for this radiant centerpiece.
Venue features and charitable support

Usher Hall offers extensive accessibility services for visitors, including level access, ramps, lifts, accessible toilets, drop-off points, and hearing loop systems. Mobility aids and tactile routes are also available on-site.
While the concert is free to attend, the One City Trust will be accepting voluntary cash donations following the performance to support its initiatives fighting inequality across Edinburgh.
