Spooky Nights at Kew Gardens and West London Markets

Kew Gardens, London’s UNESCO World Heritage site and home to the world’s largest Victorian glasshouse, is putting a spooky twist on its iconic grounds this October. The garden is turning into an immersive Halloween light wonderland, featuring illuminated trails and seasonal decorations.
Bargain hunters and vintage lovers can head to West London at the end of this month for the Giant West London Flea Market. Taking over the expansive area directly beneath the Hammersmith Flyover, this massive new market offers a vast collection of second-hand treasures, thrifting finds and charity goods.
South Kensington Exhibitions and Thames Treasures

In South Kensington, the world-famous BODY WORLDS exhibition opens this autumn with its new feature, Anatomy of Happiness. Having welcomed over 58 million visitors globally, the display uses real human specimens, full-body plastinates and interactive features to examine how human emotions affect the physical body.
For history enthusiasts, Southwark Cathedral—an 800-year-old Early English Gothic architectural landmark—houses a permanent exhibition of lost items recovered from the River Thames. Visitors can view fascinating historical relics, including 2,000-year-old pottery fragments and 17th-century love tokens. The venue also hosts regular classical music recitals and themed concerts.

Seasonal Experiences and Family Attractions
As cooler weather arrives, London is also preparing for the return of its popular winter ice skating rinks, with tickets opening ahead of the winter season. Additional seasonal activities taking place this month include an immersive Thai-inspired water lantern festival featuring thousands of glowing floating lanterns on water.
Families travelling with young children can explore Sea Life London Aquarium. Home to more than 500 marine species, the aquarium provides tailored sensory activities and accessible environments for parents with young babies.
