Human Towers and Ceremony
Festivities began outside the Nativity façade, where two human tower groups—Colla Vella dels Xiquets de Valls and Colla Joves Xiquets de Valls—performed for spectators. The gathering included an institutional address and talk featuring Valls Mayor Dolors Farré and Dr Armand Puig, alongside attendees such as Ramon Bassas, Director General of Religious Affairs for the Government of Catalonia, and local council members.
Cultural traditions continued inside the basilica during the international mass, where both groups constructed castells (human towers) simultaneously. This unique performance symbolised the blending of traditional human towers with Gaudí's architectural legacy.
Memorial at Gaudí's Tomb
The tribute concluded inside the crypt at Gaudí's tomb. Participants laid floral tributes and erected two five-storey human towers featuring one person per level to honor the architect.
